Turn Government Data Into Intelligence.

Lydell Government Intelligence™ is not a bid board. It is a decision system for the federal market — ingesting official award, obligation and solicitation records, then scoring, forecasting and pricing them so your team knows what to pursue, when to move and what the government has already paid for work like yours.

From Government Data to Actionable Intelligence

The company behind the platform

Engineered by Lydell Intelligence

Lydell Government Intelligence™ is built and operated by Lydell Intelligence, the software group behind the Lydell data platform. Same engineering standard, same lineage discipline, applied to the federal market.

The platform

An intelligence factory, not a search box

Government publishes an enormous volume of procurement data and almost none of it is decision-ready. Lydell runs that raw record set through four stages, and shows you the work at every stage so nothing is a black box.

  1. 01

    Ingest

Continuous connectors pull awards, recipients, obligations, agency profiles and open solicitations from USAspending.gov, Grants.gov and SAM.gov, with caching that respects source rate limits.

  2. 02

    Normalise

Records from different agencies and systems are reconciled into one schema — consistent agencies, vendors, NAICS codes, values and dates — so a comparison across sources is actually valid.

  3. 03

    Analyse

Deterministic models produce the Lydell Score, renewal probabilities, price bands, spending anomalies and bottleneck findings. Same inputs always produce the same output — auditable, not guessed.

  4. 04

    Act

Findings arrive as alerts, watchlists, capture briefs, compliance matrices and executive reports that plug straight into a pursuit decision.

Verified, analytical and forecast data are never mixed

Verified

Taken directly from an official government record, with the source and retrieval time attached.

Analytical

Derived by Lydell from verified records — scores, price bands, renewal probability, bottleneck findings.

Forecast

A projection of a future event the government has not announced. Directional, never presented as fact.

Everything we offer

Fourteen intelligence engines, explained in full

Each engine is a working surface in the product, not a marketing claim. Here is exactly what each one does, what it produces and which official records it is built on.

Discovery

Discovery

Opportunity Radar

Every live federal solicitation, scored 0–100 for fit against your business.

The Radar continuously pulls open solicitations and funding opportunities, normalises them into one schema, and applies the Lydell Score — a deterministic model weighting contract value, days remaining to the deadline, agency buying volume, competition type and industry alignment. Filter by keyword, NAICS code, agency level and minimum score to reduce thousands of notices to the handful worth a bid decision.

What you get
  • Scored opportunity list
  • Fit breakdown per notice
  • Deadline countdowns
  • Direct source links
Data lineage
  • Grants.gov
  • SAM.gov
  • USAspending.gov
Discovery

Procurement Forecast

See recompetes 6–18 months before the solicitation is published.

Forecasting reads the end dates and option periods on active prime awards, combines them with each agency's historical re-award cadence, and projects when the requirement is likely to return to market. This gives capture teams a runway to shape requirements, build teaming arrangements and position before an RFP drops. Every projection is labelled Forecast — it is an estimate derived from verified award records, not a confirmed government action.

What you get
  • Projected solicitation windows
  • Incumbent and expiring value
  • Confidence banding
Data lineage
  • USAspending.gov award records
Discovery

Bottleneck Intelligence

Find the operational problems agencies are spending money to fix.

Rather than waiting for a solicitation, Bottleneck Intelligence analyses spending anomalies, vendor concentration, repeat short-term awards and sharp year-over-year swings to infer where an agency has an unresolved capability gap. Each finding is presented with the underlying evidence records and a suggested solution brief so business development can lead with a proposition instead of a bid.

What you get
  • Ranked problem findings
  • Supporting evidence trail
  • Solution brief starter
Data lineage
  • USAspending.gov obligations and award patterns

Entities

Entities

Agency Intelligence

Know how each agency actually buys before you talk to them.

Agency profiles combine official mission and organisational data with multi-year budgetary resource and obligation trends, active solicitation counts, top industries purchased and the vendors receiving the money. Use it to size an account, pick an entry point and brief an executive in minutes.

What you get
  • Agency profile
  • 6-year obligation trend
  • Top vendors and industries
  • Live solicitations
Data lineage
  • USAspending.gov agency profiles and obligations
Entities

Contract Radar

Track live prime awards and the ones about to come free.

A live register of federal prime contract awards with values, periods of performance, buying agency and recipient. Contracts inside twelve months of their end date are flagged with an analytical renewal probability, turning the register into a displacement target list.

What you get
  • Award register
  • Expiring-contract queue
  • Renewal probability estimate
Data lineage
  • USAspending.gov prime award search
Entities

Vendor Intelligence

Understand the incumbents you are competing against or teaming with.

Vendor profiles roll up award history by value, agency and industry, exposing where a competitor is entrenched, where they are newly winning and where they are exposed. Essential input for teaming decisions, competitive pricing and win-theme development.

What you get
  • Vendor award history
  • Agency footprint
  • Incumbency map
Data lineage
  • USAspending.gov recipient data

Analysis

Analysis

Spending Intelligence

Where federal money is actually moving, by industry and year over year.

Obligation data is aggregated by NAICS industry and fiscal year with year-over-year change, so you can distinguish a structurally growing market from a one-off surge. Use it for market sizing, portfolio strategy and board-level narrative.

What you get
  • Category spend ranking
  • YoY growth
  • Fiscal-year comparison
Data lineage
  • USAspending.gov obligations
Analysis

Pricing Intelligence

Directional price ranges built from what the government has actually paid.

Historical award values are grouped by industry and agency to produce low, median and high award bands. It answers the question every pricing review asks: what has this buyer paid for work like this before, and where does our number sit against that record?

What you get
  • Low / median / high bands
  • Comparable award list
  • Agency price behaviour
Data lineage
  • USAspending.gov award values
Analysis

RFP Analyzer

Turn a solicitation document into a compliance matrix and a risk list.

Upload or paste a solicitation and the analyzer extracts a requirements matrix, evaluation factors, submission mechanics and clauses that carry delivery or financial risk — producing the compliance skeleton a proposal team would otherwise build by hand over two days.

What you get
  • Requirements matrix
  • Evaluation factor map
  • Risk register
  • Go / no-go inputs
Data lineage
  • Customer-supplied solicitation documents
Analysis

Proposal Intelligence

Run the pursuit pipeline with readiness scoring instead of gut feel.

Track each active pursuit against a compliance checklist, capture milestones and a readiness score, so leadership can see which bids are genuinely ready and which are consuming effort they will not recover.

What you get
  • Pursuit pipeline
  • Compliance checklist
  • Readiness score
Data lineage
  • Platform workspace data

Command Center

One screen that answers: what changed in the federal market today, and what needs me?

The Command Center aggregates every engine into a single decision surface. It counts live open solicitations, flags those closing within 14 days, tracks current fiscal-year contract obligations by industry, surfaces contracts approaching end of term, and generates a prioritised alert feed. Each figure links back to the source record so an analyst can verify before acting.

What you get
  • Live market metrics
  • Priority alert feed
  • Spending pulse chart
  • Closing-soon queue
Data lineage
  • USAspending.gov
  • Grants.gov
  • SAM.gov

Questions clients ask

How the intelligence is built

Where does the data come from?

Official United States government sources: USAspending.gov for award, recipient and obligation records, Grants.gov for funding opportunities, and SAM.gov for contract solicitations. Every figure carries its source and retrieval timestamp.

How do you separate fact from analysis?

Every value on the platform is labelled. Verified means it came directly from a government record. Analytical means Lydell derived it from verified records — scores, renewal probabilities, bottleneck findings. Forecast means it is a projection of a future event that the government has not announced. The labels appear next to the data, not in a footnote.

What is the Lydell Score?

A deterministic 0–100 fit model combining contract value, days remaining to deadline, agency buying volume, competition type and industry alignment. It is transparent and reproducible — the component breakdown is shown on every opportunity — and on the Command plan the weights can be tuned to your own win history.

How fresh is the data?

Solicitations and awards refresh continuously and are cached briefly to respect source rate limits. Latency is bounded by each source's own publication cadence, typically under 24 hours. The Data Sources page shows live reachability and the exact retrieval time for each connector.

Can we get our own data in?

Yes, on the Command plan. Private connectors, CRM sync and API access let you score opportunities against your actual pipeline, past performance and win history.

How does onboarding work?

Accounts are provisioned with your NAICS codes, target agencies and set-aside profile so the Radar is tuned from day one. Analyst and Capture customers are live the same day; Command deployments include a configuration workshop.
